Allow me to offer you my services as a specialist for medical translations from English into my native language, German. I also offer services such as correcting, editing and redacting your medical texts. As a specialist in pathology, I can cover pretty much the entire medical field.

Who I am
After completing my education as a medical-technical lab assistant and working in several laboratories (microbiology, clinical chemistry), I pursued the study of medicine. After receiving my license to practice medicine, I worked as an assistant doctor in research and teaching. During this time, I undertook several stays in North America, where I was able to further my knowledge of the English language. Since my advancement and education as a specialist in pathology in 1994, I have been active as a practicing pathologist.

Medical Translations
Medical translations require the utmost precision. It is equally important that the translator knows his way around almost all of the fields of medicine as well, as there are often themes in play which are not limited to only one medical specialty, and therefore must be translated with sensitivity. Because of my specialization as a pathologist, I am in the position to offer you exact translations, relevant to your field or specialty. I translate texts out of English into my native German tongue using medical terminology that is both proper and appropriate to common usage in Germany today. In so doing, I am particularly careful to not only offer translations that are factually exact and respectful of the medical context and technical terms involved, but I also pay particular attention to the linguistic and stylistic correctness of the work. My services are available to private individuals, doctors, and clinics, as well as manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, medical products or medical equipment. Editing and Redacting
I would also like to offer you my services as a competent editor of your German texts. I will proofread your texts and check spelling, grammar and punctuation. I will also check your document for sentence structure, style and readability. I pay particular attention to examining your text for medical correctness and plausibility, as well as the required specifics (e. g. numerical and dosage dictates, time intervals etc.). Thus you receive from me a text that corresponds to the original perfectly in content, but has been stylistically improved and medically reviewed.

Fee
My compensation is based on the standard line of 55 characters. My exact prices depend on several different parameters, including the difficulty of the text, the type and format of the original text, the urgency of the request, etc. This is also true of the redacting of your original articles as well.
